Fashion Snoops (FS) is a global trend forecasting agency. I managed the design and development of the FS App, a mobile extension of the FS trend forecasting platform. The app gives users the ability to manage and share images, view runway collections, and read insightful articles about upcoming consumer trends from anywhere.
Ideation
Before pitching the idea of an app to the company, I performed a SWOT analysis on the current FS product and identified areas of opportunity. I pitched several ideas and landed on an app that would help users accomplish their goals by uploading, managing, and sharing images from anywhere. Later, based on user feedback, I added a runway and trend analysis section to the app that allowed users to view, save, and share runway images, as well as read FS articles on-the-go.
User Testing
To ensure that the product would help users more easily accomplish their goals, we tested users throughout the design process. We went through multiple rounds of QA testing and user feedback before publishing on the App Store.
UX/UI Design
I developed a design that is consistent with the company’s style guide, but remains a unique product. The primary focus was on usability, which is reflected in the simple layout and strategic use of text and icons.
