FS Image Bank
We began this project by performing a SWOT analysis on the current Fashion Snoops product. This analysis allowed us to develop a better understanding of the current Fashion Snoops product and identify potential areas of improvement. We collaborated with the design, editorial, sales, and client services teams to perform the analysis.
One of the primary weaknesses we identified was clients’ frustration with transferring images from the their phone to the FS White Space, Fashion Snoops’ collaborative online platform. This process is tedious and time consuming. Many clients take pictures at tradeshows, events, and retail locations, but the images stay on their phone because they forget or don’t have time to transfer images to their computer. This weakness presented an area of opportunity for the company to improve the client’s experience.
– Enhance the user’s experience with the FS White Space by improving ease of use
– Maximize capability of the FS White Space by giving clients an easy way to upload photos
– Improve office workflow by streamlining the process of uploading and sharing images
– Strengthen the perception of Fashion Snoops’ brand by expanding to multiple devices.
After determining points of weakness with the current Fashion Snoops product and opportunities for future development, we began brainstorming ideas for a new product. I developed three product ideas based on the range of weaknesses and areas of opportunity identified in the SWOT analysis. I presented these ideas to stakeholders and chose to pursue the idea that best accomplished both business and client goals. The chosen solution was a mobile application that would support the FS White Space, helping users accomplish their goals by uploading, managing, and sharing images from anywhere.
